It is very important to understand the concept of sovereignty. It is basically the exclusive right to control a government, a country, a people, or oneself or the exclusive right for a government to possess full control over its own affairs within a territorial or geographical area. This concept has been discussed, debated and questioned throughout history and even though it has changed its definition, concept and application, the current notion of sovereignty remains in the idea of basic principles of territorial integrity, border inviolability, and supremacy of the state.
